In celebration of the Thanksgiving holiday, the staff of Web Solutions collected non-perishable goods to donate to a local food drive, held annually by the Meriden Hills Baptist Church. This drive helps to make sure that local families in need are able to receive and enjoy a Thanksgiving dinner and, while the collected food typically goes to Meriden residents, the church makes sure to have food available for any family that calls them during the month of November. This year, the church collected enough food to provide Thanksgiving dinner boxes to over 35 local families!
In expressing his thanks to the Web Solutions staff, Pastor Chris Atkinson remarked, “the food that you [brought us was] a great blessing to others. I was able to tell another family [that they would be able to] receive some food based on knowing that Web Solutions was bringing us added food.” In addition to providing needy families with the means to prepare and enjoy a beautiful Thanksgiving meal, the church also hosted a free Thanksgiving Dinner for anyone and everyone after their morning service on Sunday, November 21 where they fed about 150 people.
Web Solutions sought to support a local food drive and also a client. The Meriden Hills Baptist Church launched its new site by Web Solutions recently which features its Angel Food Ministries. The Web Solutions team believes it is important to give back to the community, especially during the holidays. “I like feeling that we helped to make a small difference in someone’s life,” said Brandi Morgan, Account Executive at Web Solutions. “There’s no gift like the gift of giving and we value partners like Meriden Hills Baptist Church who provide us with the opportunity to give a little back to the community that we work in.”
