The Dan M. Hunter Memorial Fund was started in 2009 to raise funds in memory of Dan M. Hunter, a respected Meriden businessman, community volunteer, youth sports coach and devoted husband and father who was killed in a motorcycle accident in 2008.
The Dan M. Hunter Memorial Fund was started by his family to provide financial aid to student athletes who exhibit the qualities of leadership and community service in which Dan believed, and to distribute funds in his memory to religious and charitable organizations. The fund also hosts the annual Storm the Castle event in Meriden’s Hubbard Park, which this year will be held on Saturday, October 27.
Web Solutions built a new site in its proprietary Content Management System v4 using the Penguin theme. The site offers information on the fund and the Storm the Castle Event, and gives supporters a way to donate to the fund using an online form.
