How to Get USA Proxy Using Your AWS Server – Three Easy Steps

If you have an AWS Amazon Web Services Linux Web Server, you are in luck.  Creating a full USA Proxy Server has never been easier.

Here’s a quick guide that will show you how to set up a proxy server using your existing AWS server.

We’ll show you in just a few easy and completely free steps how to create a winproxy tunnel. Your local PC will take the IP address of your AWS server.

If you open an AWS server in other countries, Europe, Asia, South America, etc…, you can create a proxy to those areas as well.

Step One:  Download the free Plugin Froxy Proxy Basic:

Install the plugin in your browser and restart the browser.

Step Two: Configure the plugin.

We’ll show you how to do it in Firefox.  (Chrome works pretty much the same way)

  1. Once the plugin is installed on your browser, right mouse click and click on “Add New Proxy”.  Tick the “Manual Proxy Configuration” button, type in localhost in Host, and select an open port (generally in the 9000s is good, I chose 9006). Then tick the Socks Proxy box, and select Socks v5

2.  Your newly configured Winproxy will appear in the selection box.

3.  Right Mouse Click Again and choose “Use Proxy localhost:9006” configuration.

Obviously, you could configure several proxies, and select the configuration and port each time based on your current needs.


 

Step Three: Login to AWS with a tunnel and port

Remember to type in the exact port configured in Step Two.

We’re assuming you are already using Putty Telnet from your Windows PC.  Here’s an explanation of configuring Putty to work with AWS.

From Putty, click on the Connection tab on the left, as it expands, click on SSH, then Tunnels.  In the forwarded ports section type in D9006

9006 is the port number we selected above.  You can choose a different open port on your server).

Then click open and login to your AWS server.

That’s it. You should now have the same IP address on your PC as your AWS server.   You can test this by going to a website that verifies your local IP address.  I use who.is
